Multiscale Nonlinear Mechanics

Research Overview

Welcome! My name is JiaHao Li, and I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Modern Mechanics at the University of Science and Technology of China. I received my B.Eng. degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University from September 2018 to July 2022. My research interests lie in multiscale mechanics, spanning from nanoscale phenomena to the nonlinear behavior of flexible structures. I study atomic scale deformation mechanisms using computational approaches such as density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. My current work focuses on modeling nonlinear responses in flexible structures, including rods, ribbons, and shells, under finite deformations.
